Our Golf Program

There are countless exercise gadgets and golf gimmicks on the market that promise the “ideal” golf swing from a one dimensional viewpoint. In fact, the ideal golf swing requires a unique combination of strength, flexibility, coordination and mental focus, as well as, natural ability, professional lessons, and proper equipment.

Power Ten focuses on improving the strength, flexibility, coordination and mental focus of the swing in its entirety. We achieve this by employing different pieces of equipment to increase the amount of spinal motion, while distributing the force of the swing along the entire spine. Increasing the spinal mobility of the spine will in turn increase the individual’s back swing and follow through, as well as, decrease the amount of stress on the back. This increases the distance off the tee and decreases low back pain. Our programs then develop the strength in this range that will result in increased control of the swing and decrease the compensations throughout the swing. We also place specific emphasis on the core, or “powerhouse” of the body, that is in the central abdominal area. Strengthening the core increases the support of the low back, as well as, enhances the timing of the trunk musculature, which provides the extra power needed for that par 5. Finally, our personal training requires you to maintain focus throughout the session, which later transfers to the green when concentration is paramount.
